Our Mission

Our Mission Statement: The Waycross – Ware County Chamber of Commerce exists to provide exceptional services to its members in the areas of professional development, information and networking opportunities; and to advocate for economic and community development in Waycross and Ware County. Currently working towards becoming a Certified Chamber through the Georgia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. This process is causing the Board to review operations from the ground up. The certification requires evaluation on 34 criteria. Professional and Business Development

  • SwampTown Scarecrows – a fun fall event that provides exposure for businesses who participate and dresses up the community during the fall season.

Informational and Networking Opportunities

  • Friday Flyer newsletter with Chamber and local events
  • Rise & Shine Breakfast – networking breakfast held the 2nd Tuesday of each month, starting at 7:45 a.m.
  • Business After Hours – networking event held the 3rd Thursday of each month, starting at 5:00 p.m.
  • Constant Contact E-Mails – promoting Chamber member services and chamber events.
  • Doughnuts & Dialogue annual event – local annual event question and answer session with local officials and representatives before the legislative session
  • Sponsor for the Okefenokee Occasion – regional annual event held in Atlanta that includes all state officials
  • Ambassador Program – volunteers who assist the Chamber in the community and at Chamber events
